    German Club

    Attention students hosting a German Exchange student.  We will have an informational meeting on Wednesday, September 24th at 7:00 pm in Room 293.  You must have at least one parent attend the meeting with you.

    Cultural Awareness

    If you are interested in planning the festivities for Hispanic Heritage Month, the join Cultural Awareness Club today after school in rm. 272.  We will be planning our annual fieldtrip and decorating the display case.  See Mrs. Sullivan or Mr. Flores in Social Studies.


    Official neon homecoming shirts, “A City of Lights”, are on sale at the cashier for $12. Help LIGHT EM UP in the student section as we take on Fremd for the homecoming game!!


    Cosmetology Club will be meeting Tuesday, September 223rd, after school, in room 160. The topic will be Skin Care and all are welcome!


    The Competitive Cheer Team will host an open gym on Saturday, September 27 from Noon until 2PM in the Gymnastics Room.  The team is Co-Ed so all interested guys and girls are invited to come work on Tumbling and Stunting Skills.  Tryouts for the Competitive Teams will be held November 3rd.  No previous tumbling or stunt experience is needed.

    Studnet Council

    Attention all artistic Pirates:  the Homecoming Ticket Design contest is starting, Tuesday Sept. 23.  Pick up an entry form in the main office.  The winning designer will receive 2 free tickets to homecoming – that’s a $30 value!  Entries will be due Tuesday, Sept. 30.  Contact Mr. Nowak in the math department with any questions.

    Sophmore Class

    Dip. Dive. Dodge. Duck. The 3rd annual dodgeball tournament will be on Tuesday, Oct. 7th during homecoming week. Registration materials will be available in the main office. The first 12 teams to hand in registration materials will get to play!

    Service Club

    Attention all Service Club members!  Our meetings have been moved to room 216 and will be there from now on.   See Mrs. Guthrie, Mrs. Berleman or Mrs. Ross if you have any questions. See you there this Thursday, September 25, at 7:30!

    Career Trek

    “A career trek to Schaumburg Regional Airport is scheduled for Wed., Oct. 8th.
    Students interested in aviation careers (pilot, air traffic controller, flight instructor, & airport management), sign up in Student Services. Limited to first 7 students.”

    Election Judge

    Did you apply to be an Election Judge? Keep your eyes out for an email inviting you to sign up for a training session. Trainings fill up fast, so do it right away. There will be one training here at PHS on Saturday, October 25 at 8AM. You must attend a training in order to serve as an Election Judge. See Mrs. Hamman in Social Studies with questions!

    Future Educators

    Are you interested in being a teacher? If so, the Future Educators club will meet Tuesday morning, September 23rd, at 9:10 in room 160. We would love to see you there!
