    AP Testing

    Are you enrolled in AP classes? There is a mandatory meeting Thursday, January 18th during all lunch periods in the Auditorium for all students who plan to take AP exams.

    Girls Track & Field

    Girls track and field has officially started. They are still welcoming girls if you would like to join. They meet after school on the second floor. If you are currently in a winter sport contact the coaches for info and to communicate your intentions.

    Junior Class Prom

    Are you a junior? Would you like to help plan prom? If so, please attend the junior class meeting on Monday, January 22nd at 7:30am in room 275. We will be discussing this year’s prom theme.

    Orchesis

    Spring Orchesis is here! If you are interested in joining Orchesis dance club this spring, the first practice will be Monday, January 22nd from 6-7:30pm in the dance room. See Ms. Ramirez in the media center for more information. Dress ready to dance and no prior experience required. Those with dance experience can audition for Company Orchesis with a 1 minute solo, see Mrs. Coleman in the PE office for more details.

    Foreign Exchange Club

    Foreign Exchange Club is having our first meeting of the semester Thursday, January 18th right after school in Room 283. New members are always welcome! If you are interested but cannot attend, please see Mr. Correa or Ms. W in the World Language Department.

    Genders & Sexualities Alliance

    The Genders and Sexualities Alliance is meeting on Friday, 1/19 at 7:45 am in room 203. We will begin planing for the National Day of Silence. ALL are welcome to attend! See Mrs. Kupka or Mrs. Ross in English with any questions.

    Girls Sofball

    Attention all girls interested in playing softball this Spring: Please check the softball bulletin board outside the girls locker to see pre-season workout information! See Coach Capalbo in the grey team with any questions.

    Musical

    Come see this year’s Winter Musical, FOOTLOOSE! Performances are Wednesday, January 24; Thursday, January 25; Friday, January 26; and Saturday, January 27; at 7:00pm each night. Tickets are only $7 for PHS students and $10 for adults, and they are available in the main office beginning Friday, January 19. Everybody cut footloose!

    Girls Water Polo

    Attention all girls interested in playing water polo this spring: there will be a mandatory informational meeting on Thursday, January 25 at 7:45am in room 316. See Mr. Tucker in Science with any questions.

    CTTP

    Pirates, Commit to the Pirate, wants to remind you to turn in your red tickets to the monthly locker. January’s prize is a $10 gift card to Target.

    Principal’s Advisory Board Meeting

    The next Junior and Senior Principal’s Advisory Board Meeting is schedule for Monday, January 29th, 8th period in the Principal’s Conference Room. Any Junior or Senior student interested in attending, is welcome.

    The next Freshman and Sophomore Principal’s Advisory Board Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, January 30th, 6th hour in the Principal’s Conference Room. Any Freshman or Sophomore student interested in attending is welcome

    Boys Track & Field

    Boys track and Field officially starts Monday, January 22nd for those not in a winter sport. See Mr. Nalley in Math if you are interested in joining this season. Meet outside the Boys Locker Room after school.

    Attention Class of 2018! If you were not able to place your cap/gown order or if you have questions about the order you placed, the Josten’s rep will be at school on Tuesday, January 30 during lunch hours.     Code 211

    Want to learn how to make the next Snapchat or Twitter, while having the opportunity to win great prizes! Come to Code211 on January 19-20 in the Palatine Media Center to participate in a 20 hour coding event. All schools in district 211 will be competing and there will be free food, t-shirts, prizes, and judges!
