Fishing Club is meeting every Thursday morning in room 142 from 7:30-8AM. Our first official fishing outing will be Wednesday, March 21 after school until 6:00 at Twin Lakes in Palatine. You can pick up a field trip form from Mr. Schager in Applied Tech or Mr. Skony in Science. You’ll need to have a Illinois Fishing License ($15) and purchase a Twin Lakes season pass ($18). Mr. Schager and Mr. Skony will be happy to help you with this process. We look forward to Palatine High School’s first official fishing event, come on our and be apart of fishing history.

Don’t miss the annual Mr. Pirate contest! Mr. Pirate will take place on Thursday, March 22 at 7:00 PM in the auditorium. Tickets cost $5. Come out to see Billy Glaser, Sean O’Brien, Jack Whisler, Bryant Smith and Ty Angeles compete for the title of Mr. Pirate 2018. Be sure to follow the twitter page for updates!

Day of Service
Attention all FRESHMEN. Palatine will be having its first ever Day of Service coming up on Tuesday, April 10th. This is the SAT day, so Freshmen do not have to come to school. However, you can choose to attend a field trip where we would go volunteer at local elementary schools to help the kids and teachers there have an awesome day!! This is also a great way to get your Harper’s Promise hours fulfilled! Please see Mrs. Guthrie or Mrs. Berleman in the Social Studies office if you are interested!
“Varsity Fall Spirit Tryouts are approaching quickly!
Clinics will be April 9th 3:30pm-6:00pm on the south shelf or April 11th 6:00pm-8:00pm on the south shelf. You must attend one of the clinics before tryouts.
Tryouts will be April 12th 3:30-6:00 in the dance room!

“Sarge” Showers Scholarship
If you are interested in being awarded $2,500 then please get your submissions for the Burton “”Sarge”” Showers Scholarship handed-in by March 16th. You can pick up applications in the Social Studies Office.”
A sign-up sheet for Variety Show 2018 audition times is now located at the lower level auditorium door. Auditions will be held Monday, March 19th and Tuesday, March 20th. If you have any questions, see Mrs. Wright in room 169 with questions.
THere will be a pre-season girls lacrosse meeting on Tuesday, March 20th at 3:30pm in room 270. If you plan on trying out for lacrosse try to be there. If you can’t be there please find Coach Schock or Coach Flores in the Social STudies office.
